PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Mary joined Meyer and Brooks, P.A. in August 2000. Mary practices labor and employment law, representing employees and employee organizations in a broad range of legal proceedings.  She has particular experience in education law and licensing and certification issues which has given her extensive administrative trial experience before the Division of Administrative Hearings and local boards and state agencies.  She also provides representation to licensed medical professionals before regulatory agencies. The scope of her representation includes formal administrative proceedings, rulemaking and related litigation in the circuit courts as well as in appellate proceedings.

Prior to joining Meyer and Brooks, Mary was employed with the Tallahassee City Attorney’s Office working on land use issues, local government law, employment discrimination, civil rights and contract law.

While in law school, Mary served as University Student Defender, advocating for students facing discipline for violations of the Florida State University Code of Conduct. Mary continues to provide representation to students in interactions with institutions of higher learning.
